Comment Methods

If you wish, please provide any thoughts that you may have about the website and the guide. All comments, if made using the Forum, will be available for all visitors to see and to provide additional comments if they wish. When space becomes limited the oldest of the comments will be progressively removed.

If you prefer, you can use the form below for comments that will only be seen by the Authors. If you choose to supply your name and / or email address, this information is kept strictly confidential, will not be given to any other party and will be deleted after your comment has become dated, responded to or acted upon, e.g. a suggestion applied to the guide.

Revisions and Comment Types

Both positive and negative comments are welcome. If inclined, please make any suggestions for additional content that is appropriate for beginners and short course level. As eluded to on the Home page, it is not the intent of this guide to expand to be a substitute for what is offered by consultants for a full and proper implementation of 5S in an industrial environment.

We are particularly interested in receiving comments indicating errors, omissions within a particular item of text and / or any part of the guide that you found difficult to understand. Obviously, there are only so many ways any one item can be described or explained, but we will endeavour to always aim for people requiring information from first principles. Only serious comments and suggestions are likely to be acknowledged by an update to the guide.

Language Standard

Please note that the language standard for this website is Australian English. This means that words with an “s” rather than a “z” (i.e. organise) and words with a “u” (i.e. colour) are not spelling errors. There could also be some other exceptions. However, if you decide to copy any of the tutorial content, you can change the spelling to the local standard.

Inappropriate Comments

A final note that unfortunately must be mentioned – any comments with inappropriate language or unacceptable social attitudes will be removed. Comments will not be edited. One inappropriate word will result in the removal of the whole comment. Acceptable standards of written behaviour and local laws will be the guidelines for what should be removed and not the personal attitudes of the Authors.
